Trauma & PTSD Therapy

Do you find that, after some past experiences, it’s hard to look at yourself or others the same way as you used to? Maybe you notice more anxiety and worry than you used to, and that situations you were once comfortable with are now overwhelming. Past experiences might make it difficult for you to trust and open up to others, putting unwanted strain on your relationships with friends and loved ones. If your past experience was particularly intense, you might notice yourself pushing down memories, only for them to come back up as flashbacks or nightmares. Maybe you’ve wanted help, but considering trauma and PTSD therapy can feel incredibly intimidating.

Depending on what you experience for yourself, I can help address your concerns. I help you shift the way that you think about situations to allow you to open up and feel more joy in trusting others. I provide the framework that allows you to reconnect with the world around you, allowing you to overcome your fear and regain your confidence in yourself. I teach you how you can feel less overwhelmed in stressful situations and prove yourself wrong when you say, “I can’t handle it.” I help you to work through these challenges so that you can feel less trapped by your past and more hopeful for the future.

I am trained in the following therapy approaches designed to treat trauma and PTSD:

  • Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
